GEMS WORLD ACADEMY

Opened in 2008, the GEMS World Academy in Dubai is home to more than 1700 students from 90 different countries. For this international school, Team ItalMesh created one of the walls of the main entrance. The real particularity of the project is in the engineering; substructures were created that follow a three-dimensional movement that gives movement to the entire façade. Each mesh was painted a darker color than the structures where it was welded, creating a play of contrasts.
