In 2021 the ItalMesh team had the opportunity to collaborate in the construction of the MontePulciano Autogrills which, after the demolition of the famous Pavesi Autogrill designed by architect Angelo Bianchetti in the 1960s, a symbol of the Italian economic boom, two new modern and energy efficient Autogrills were built. ItalMesh has contributed to the creation of the external facades with the use of panels that not only act as cladding, but also as a lighting fixture. Low energy consumption LED strips have been installed in each panel which, as evening falls, create plays of light and shadow thanks to the texture of the stretched mesh that covers the entire building.
